Stolen Moments
All the places our hands have held
clasped tightly
above sea-glass shelled shores
a two-wheeled leisurely ride; love tours
fingertips against forearm veins
blood vessels constricting upon your touch
a driftwood seat, just you and I
I have never wanted something so much
your eyes, into mine
bodies, intertwined
I see you like I never have before
the most beautiful sunset
the most plentiful amount of butterflies
the most sponge cloud-painted skies
the most passionate love, ever contrived
barefoot children, running in grass
ice-cream dripping down; a cone that won't last
a future that will be ours
in due-time
in the interim we steal moments
between the wineries green earthly vine
moments where we stop to take in the scene
tip-toe to the pinnacle of the pier
an inestimable treasured dream
sparkling bay
"And"; a canvas sail-riddled surface
with eyes fluttered shut
one ear to the water
and one ear to your heart
a place I literally and figuratively wish, to never part
live street music, dances upon our ears
love so pure and magical
there is simply no room for fears
won't you bring me back
to our driftwood love bench?
where I felt your unclasped hands
soak me with your feelings
leave me drenched. . .
All the places our hands have held
stolen moments beyond measure
a love so alive and well
you are all I have ever imagined
and even more
won't you let me walk you home
to where you and I both belong?
a feeling you only get
when you are in love
and hear a love song
